The only good thing about the RNC? Jon fricken Stewart!
This post has nothing to do with MS. Warning, I'm going to gush unabashedly for a minute...
I met Jon Stewart from The Daily Show!!! It was one of those random encounters that you just can't plan. Saturday night while walking through Rice Park on our way to The Liffey, my friend Jen and I ran into Jon Stewart. It was late and there wasn't anyone else around except the police and security guards. At first I didn't even recognize him although Jen did. We shook hands, exchanged a little banter and then (hand to god) he tackled me. Ok, it was more like he started circling me and then pulled my arms back in a very playful wrestling hold. We were talking and goofing around and then he would start circling me again. At one point I even had his arm pinned back behind him (not that he was really fighting me on this). He kept saying, "I don't know what it is about you but you just make me wanna wrestle you." How cool is that?!?!? He thinks I look like trouble. Isn't that cute?
So, not only did I get to meet Jon Stewart, I got to get up close (very up close) and personal with him. For the record, he is very different from the character he portrays on the show. He has indeed managed to create a believable product that is called Jon Stewart. The man himself was very sweet and humble. Just the fact that he was walking around in a t-shirt with holes in it makes me respect him even more.
