Walking out of body

Kurt Vonnegut Jr. wrote a story about a man who was in such ill health and was so burdened by his own body that one day he just walked right out of it, his soul that is. He turned around and was surprised to see his mortal coil standing their waiting for him to come back. The body didn't die it simply slumped there like an old coat but once free of his body he would not go back into it.

The endometriosis was horrible yesterday and damn it, I want a new body. I want to walk out of it. I certainly don't want to die but I don't want to live in this body anymore. It's enough to turn anybody into a drug addict. God bless Darvocet...
